What is the electrical code for subpanels mounted in basements?

I know they have to be mounted on plywood, which is mounted to the cinder block walls. What type of plywood – is indoor ok or does it have to be outdoor plywood? 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch thick? How much clearance around the panel? Thanks

Contact the local AHJ and get a permit and ask for the basic code requirements that they have. If this is not what you wish to do, contact a qualified professional electrician to install the panel and the mounting board.
